Carl spent his childhood in Japan and Korea, the son of a military family. His family returned to the US in time for Carl to earn a Computer Science degree from the University of North Carolina. In 1989, he brought his database architectural skills to Upp and helped build what has today become a complete suite of integrated software products.  As President of Software Solutions at Upp, he guides the development, implementation and support of IRMS software for a national and international client base. In his free time, Carl acts as football, basketball and baseball coach to his four sons and is an accomplished martial arts competitor.
